The Jaguafrangos
Founded in 1992 by brothers Sidnei Donizete Bottazzari and Paulo Sérgio Botazzari, in the city of Jaguapitã-PR, Jaguafrangos is today one of the largest Brazilian companies in the poultry sector. In 26 years of operation, the initial production of 17 thousand birds per day grew exponentially to the current 650 tons of chicken meat. From breeding, through slaughter and marketing, Jaguafrangos has five branches and dozens of points of sale throughout Brazil.
With constant investment in technology throughout the production chain, Jaguafrangos guarantees food safety and the certainty that the product that reaches families’ tables will be of excellent quality. Before the final product is packaged and distributed, the production line literally begins in embryonic form. With a fully verticalized production system, Jaguafrangos produces its fertile eggs. Thanks to the most modern hatchery equipment in the world, 84 million chicks are produced per year, which represents approximately 800 births every five minutes.
Currently, around 40% of Jaguafrangos’ poultry farms are owned by the company. In addition to producing feed for the entire flock, the company also processes by-products, such as viscera and feathers. This strategy reflects the company’s commitment to delivering quality products to consumers, relying on a dedicated and innovative team to achieve this. With over three thousand employees, productivity is the result of constant investments in workplace safety and the appreciation of each team member, in order to provide an environment of well-being and quality of life for workers.
Thus, success is not restricted to the domestic market. Since 2003, customers from over 50 countries, such as Japan, Russia, Hong Kong and nations in the Middle East and Africa, have also received products from the Paraná-based brand. Already recognized in the food industry, the company has diversified its product catalog. In addition to whole chickens and offal, it has also started selling special cuts, already seasoned poultry and sausages.
With the values of ethics, transparency and innovation that guide the company, Jaguafrangos monitors the entire manufacturing process, using cutting-edge technology to conduct research on all items, from raw materials and inputs to the arrival of the food to the end consumer. The entire production process at Jaguafrangos undergoes the strictest controls, following the rules of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), PPHO (Standard Operating Hygiene Procedures) and even Halal Slaughter – a slaughter technique that makes the food permitted for consumption by Muslims.
